1. Duolingo plus a Bible app

Pros: free, gamified, easy to start. Cons: the two never meet. Your lessons build vocabulary the Bible barely uses, your Bible reading gets no lesson support, and most people quit Duolingo within a couple of weeks because the content gives them no reason to stay.

2. A tutor or class

The gold standard for conversation, at the gold-standard price: one hour with a decent Spanish tutor runs $30 to $50, and progress takes a couple of hours a week for months.

Wonderful if you have the budget and the schedule. Most people's Spanish budget dies here, which is why the dropout rate is what it is.

3. Christian homeschool curricula
